Empowering Australian businesses to future-proof operations with scalable infrastructure and IT solutions.

Empowering Lighthouse Foundation with VoIP, cyber security and cloud-enabled mobility solutions.

For over 30 years, Lighthouse Foundation has provided vital support to vulnerable children and young people across Melbourne—offering safe homes, therapeutic care, and hope for a brighter future. As the organisation expanded to meet increasing demand, especially in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, having the right technology became essential to their ability to deliver care where it’s needed most.

5G Networks has proudly partnered with Lighthouse Foundation to strengthen their IT infrastructure, enhance cyber resilience, and empower staff with the tools to work flexibly and effectively across their network of homes. From upgraded devices and cloud connectivity to cyber security training and ongoing support, 5G Networks has become a trusted ally in helping Lighthouse deliver life-changing outcomes for young people every day.

5G Networks has provided Lighthouse Foundation with critical technology solutions to help strengthen operations and improve service delivery. Their support has included the provision of VoIP telephones and mobile network devices, enabling more reliable and efficient communication across Lighthouse’s dispersed teams and care homes.

To further enhance organisational resilience, 5G Networks conducted a comprehensive cyber security assessment and continues to deliver monthly cyber awareness training for staff. These sessions are designed to improve understanding of potential threats, build a security-first culture and safeguard sensitive data across the organisation.

In addition, 5G Networks has supported Lighthouse’s fundraising efforts by helping to facilitate telethon-style events—providing the connectivity and infrastructure required to bring these community-driven initiatives to life.

In response to Lighthouse’s rapid growth in 2023, 5G Networks provided upgraded laptops for all staff, enabling the organisation to embrace flexible working and manage increased workloads as demand for services surged post-COVID. The transition to modern hardware, supported by cloud-based technology, enabled Lighthouse’s mobile therapeutic Case Managers to respond effectively in the field.

The contribution of 5G Networks has had a profound impact across all levels of the Lighthouse Foundation’s operations. The upgraded laptops enhanced flexibility and mobility for frontline teams, enabling critical therapeutic support to be delivered wherever and whenever it’s needed most.

With modern hardware and secure cloud systems in place, Lighthouse was able to implement more effective data management practices across its Care Services and Fundraising teams. This has improved internal efficiency and strengthened the Foundation’s ability to measure outcomes and report on impact to donors and government stakeholders.

Cyber security awareness among staff has significantly increased thanks to 5G Networks’ monthly training sessions helping protect the integrity of sensitive information and maintain compliance with industry standards.

Ultimately, 5G Networks’ ongoing support has helped Lighthouse continue to deliver life-changing services to young people in need, backed by a professional, resilient and future-ready IT environment.

Lighthouse Foundation provides homes and therapeutic care programs to children and young people impacted by long-term neglect, abuse and homelessness. With a presence across 13 homes in Melbourne and two additional Hub Homes supporting foster and kinship care, Lighthouse’s unique model enables children to feel safe, form meaningful relationships and begin their journey toward healing.

Through a combination of trauma-informed care, dedicated staff and committed partners like 5G Networks, Lighthouse continues to create brighter futures empowering young people to break the cycle of homelessness and build lives filled with hope and possibility.

“During COVID, 5G Networks provided the technology and support we needed to stay connected, continue our work and feel supported through an incredibly challenging time. This enabled our team to run virtual workshops and maintain essential services – and we’re incredibly grateful for their ongoing support.”
