One of Australia’s fastest growing telecommunications and digital infrastructure providers 5G Networks (ASX: 5GN) is proud to confirm that it has been chosen as a strategic supplier to the South Australian Government Managed Platform Services panel. The panel enables SA government agencies to purchase key infrastructure and cloud services and is valued at over $300m AUD.
5G Networks will provide IT infrastructure services including managed platforms and public cloud management services such as Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and
Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS). 5GN expects the panel will enable SA government agencies to rapidly transform a range of infrastructure assets and applications as they transition to the cloud.
Joe Gillett, General Manager of Sales at 5GN stated: “We are delighted to continue our relationship with the SA Government as a strategic supplier for critical infrastructure services. In working closely with SA agencies for many years, we now look forward to the next phase in the journey by enabling new innovative models of service delivery.
The panel will also benefit from our direct investment in South Australia as we further develop our managed infrastructure platforms. This includes the continued development of the 5GN Cloud platform in Adelaide, which provides hybrid cloud services across both private and public clouds.” He added.
Importantly, 5GN has been providing managed hosting and infrastructure services to SA government for many years and this heritage was critical in understanding the strategic direction and key requirements of the government as they design, develop and execute the move to cloud.
